Reflective Bodies II

RiHub (ex Bernardi), Ivana Grohovca 1a, Rijeka 25th June 2017 at 6.00 p.m.
Reflective Bodies is an improvised performative setting based on movement and physical expressions co-created by artists of different nationalities and backgrounds. As a part of the wider project “Unreal Cities”, developed under the European Capital of Culture programme – Rijeka 2020: Port of Diversity, Kitchen flagship, we wish to establish a dialogue with the city and people of Rijeka, by sharing some of the steps of a multi-year artistic project.
The Kitchen flagship – centre of creative migrations – is about different migrational experiences, exploring roles of cities as laboratories of social changes. City identities are much more fluid and flexible than national identities and as such they are an ideal place for creating the new “we”.
We invite you to bring an object you would like to share with us, an object that holds a particular significance, and symbolises a relation between you and the city of Rijeka or any other city of your choice, today, in the past or in the future.
Artists: Fernanda Branco (Brazil/Norway), Monica Giacomin (Italy/United Kingdom), Joseph Jaouen (France), Christina Lederhaas (Austria), Sébastien Loesener (France), Estella Muñiz (Spain), Ivana Peranić (Croatia), Nicole Pschetz (Brazil/France), Janaina Tupan (Brazil / France).
Project Coordinator: KRILA Creative Theater Laboratory (Rijeka). International partners: ACTS Laboratory for Performance Practices (Oslo), MOVEO – Center for Creation and Formation (Barcelona), Platform 88 (Montpellier), Poulpe Electrique (Paris), ToTum TeaTre (Barcelona), Working Life (Graz).
