WONDROUS COTTAGE

In an old oak forest, there was a wooden cottage on a little hill. In that cottage lived a wise, joyful old man. No one knew how old he was, it seemed like he was there since forever. He was rarely seen, usually while working something in his garden, gathering medical herbs over the woods or while studying the stars. He liked to look at them and listen to them and, in that way, predict the weather. Maybe that was the reason his name was Vremen (Weather). It is told that the old man Vremen could not only see the creatures of the forest, but also liked to hang out with them, and they were there to help him whenever he needed it. There was a pathway near his cottage that led to the town nearby and sometimes someone would even pass there, but Vremen would show himself only to few of them…

It is an ideal story for the end of the calendar year, in which mythical and real characters and situations are intertwined, for the time when dreams and wishes are being thrown into the universe like kites, and when we open our hearts to the miraculous, joy and friendship.
