Creative Laboratory of Contemporary Theatre KRILA is a new Arts Organization initiated by theatre and performing artists Ivana Peranic and Jorge Correa Bethencourt in 2011 in Rijeka, Croatia.
Our vision is to create an explorative environment, creative space and collaborative dynamics in the field of contemporary theatre in Rijeka and Croatia, as well as developing the city and the region as a strong and vibrant center of new tendencies in theatre and performing arts, connected with the European and world centers of that art.
KRILA’s educational program contributes to the improvement of the personal and professional development of children, youth and adults in the city of Rijeka and its surroundings through educational theater content that meets their needs, relying on the practice of contemporary, collaborative, engaging and inclusive theaters. The idea is to change the attitudes of children and young people to the traditional art that they passively consume, to bring them closer to them and to actively involve them as authors and creators.
